As a portfolio website, it is required relatively little content compared to general website. So, I focus on the design for catching visitor's eyes at a glance.

I would like to show my design and coding capability as a front-end web developer. All the information and works would be collected into the website so that everyone could see who I am, what I have done and what I am currently doing.

I like your concept about having a simple design for a website. I'll be very interested to see your portfolio site when it's finished. I do some work online that involves reviewing websites. The best sites I've seen aren't very complicated at all, but get the main messages across and put flesh on the bones in a user-friendly manner.
